Devlog - 02/03/2023


hello! this is the first proper build I've done for my university final major project. i've been hard at work developing the backbone of the project and ensuring that these systems are relatively bug free. the deadline for this project is at the end of april, so I've got quite a bit of work to do for it! currently i'm aiming to get solid world generation, player controls and items implemented for the april deadline, with some entity ai on the horizon for the may university award show.


currently the timeline for the project is as follows:

march - implement item types, containers/loot-ables, and world/biome/structure/loot generation - most of this is done, i'm mainly just ideating upon these, changing them to fit the game's style/needs.

april - q/a, bug fixing and final polish for the deadline.

may - work on 'simple' ai; currently i'm thinking of implementing a deer as a proof-of-concept, with the spawning and ai states handled appropriately.
